Instructions
Saute finely chopped onion, minced garlic, and grated carrot until fragrant.
Add cubed potatoes, barley, and pour 7 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
Add the mushrooms, turmeric powder, cayenne pepper, and let simmer till barley and potatoes are cooked.
Notes
Serve with chopped parsley and warm sourdough bread.
