We make these delicious waffles every weekend! Enjoy them with your favorite jam, nut butter, fresh berries, honey, or cashew cream.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup organic flour
  • 1/2 cup spelt flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 ripe mashed banana
  • 1 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (Feel free to add lemon zest for an extra flavor)

Instructions
 

  • Mix the dry ingredients first.
  • Add the wet ingredients until thoroughly combined.
  • Heat a waffle iron and spray with olive oil.
  • Cook the waffles for 3-4 minutes.

Notes

Our favorite toppings are:
Cashew cream + honey or maple syrup + fresh berries. 
To make cashew cream: Blend 1 cup raw cashews (soaked 3 hours or overnight in hot water) with 1/2 cup water until smooth.
