
This Green Smoothie is our absolute staple. Drink it every day to get all the nutrients and omega-3s that your body needs!
Equipment
- 1 blender
- 1 knife
Ingredients
- 1 Granny Smith apple
- 1 ripe avocado
- 1/2 ripe pear (it's optional – add it if you need extra sweetness)
- 3 cups kale
- 6 cups water
- 3 tbsp flax seed
Instructions
- Wash all the ingredients thoroughly and place them in the blender.
- Pour the water, and add some ice on top.
- Add ground flax seed to your smoothie and enjoy!
Notes
Two things.
1. I highly recommend adding ice since all the ingredients “get cooked” a little bit when being blended. The ice helps keep them cool and avoid the “cooking effect”.
2. Buy organic whole flax seeds and grind them before adding to your smoothie. This way you will get the most out of the fatty acid content of the seeds.

The absolute best blender is Vitamix E310 Explorian – this is the one I have, but if you’d like a bigger one, go for Vitamix Ascent!
