
Don't let your sourdough starter go to waste! These Seriously Sourdough Waffles deliver an amazing depth of flavor with a signature sourdough tang.
Equipment
- 1 whisk
- 1 waffle-maker
Ingredients
- 2/3 cup sourdough discard
- 1 cup organic whole wheat flour
- 2/3 cup almond milk or soy milk You can try some other plant-based milk. Just make sure it doesn't have any added sugar, gums, etc.
- 2 cups ripe banana
- 1 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Turn on your waffle maker and lightly grease it with olive oil.
- Whisk all the ingredients together and mash the banana with a fork into the batter.
- Cook until golden brown and crispy.
- Enjoy with some maple syrup, fresh berries, cashew butter or any other organic raw butter.
